This is one way to cheat and not have to worry about dusting. I bought Barrister Bookcases with glass panels and installed $10.00 Fluorescent light fixtures each each panel. For the Fluorescent Minerals, I bought the $10.00 black light fixtures and installed them under each shelf at a 45 degree angle for the best coverage. I then laid out each display by either Longwave or Shortwave and installed a Shortwave lamp underneath the shelf at the bottom of the barrister bookcase to prevent people from looking at the UV direct so not to burn anyone eyes. All shelving is laid out on an angle for best display for viewing. The large specimens are placed on wooden 3 tier step platform painted with flat black paint. This has proven to be the best layout for everyone to view and enjoy even while standing straight up.
All photos are taken under Superbright 2000 SW or LW light with a Sony Mavica camera with an inferred light and zoom lens
