Location of Mineral Deposit: GOUVERNEUR TALC COMPANY of BALMAT & FOWLER, ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, NEW YORK

Description:  This Talc Specimen has Tremolite Crystals associated with it. The Talc Fluoresces a Light Green/Yellow color under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light and if any Tremolite is present, the Tremolite will Fluoresce a light Orange color also under Shortwave Ultra Violet Light.

  For more information on this specimen, check out page 112 in an outstanding book called "Collecting FLUORESCENT MINERALS"    by Stuart Schneider 2004 edition.
