Minerals Species:   SPHALERITE

Location of Mineral Deposit:    ZCA Mine, West Pierrepont, New York

Description:   This specimen Fluoresces and Phosphoresces brilliant orange under Longwave and will also Fluoesces under Midwave and Shortwave. The specimen is also Triboluminescent a paperclip or other hard object tapped or scraped against it will produce orange low energy sparks.

Minerals Species: BIRDS EYE SPHALERITE

Location of Mineral Deposit:  ZCA Mine, West Pierrepont, New York

Description:  This specimen shows Birds Eye Sphalerite that Fluoresces a bright Pink color under a Short Wave Ultra Violet Light and Blue and Light Blue under a Long Wave Ultra Violet Light and will also Fluoesces under Mid Wave and in addition, this specimen is slightly Phosphorescent.

Minerals Species: RHODOCHROSITE xls,  FLUORITE xls, PYRITE xls, &  PLUS FLUORESCENT SPHALERITE

Location of Mineral Deposit:  NOW CLOSED IN 2004!!  SWEET HOME MINE, ALMA, COLORADO

Description:  This nice specimen has Rhodochrosite xls that are NON-Fluorescent along with PYRITE, QUARTZ , FLUROITE & SPHALERITE. The Sphalerite Fluoresces a dull Orange under the Shortwave Ultra Violet light and a Bright Orange under Longwave Ultra Violet light and is Phosphorescent along with Fluorite that Fluoresces Deep Blue color under a Longwave Ultra Violet Light.  The Quartz, Pyrite and Rhodochrosite are NON-Fluorescent.

Description:   This specimen contains Sphalerite in matrix and Fluoresces an Orange color under a Longwave Ultra Violet Light and is Phosphorescent.

Location of Mineral Deposit:   ZCA Mine, West Pierrepont, New York

Description:   This excellent specimen Fluoresces a Brilliant Orange color under a Longwave Ultra Violet Light. Sphalerite will also Fluoesces an Orange color under a Midwave Ultra Violet Light and dull orange color under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light. This specimen is also Phosporescent and Tribolumenescent. The Dolostone that will Fluoresces Yellow under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light.

Location of Mineral Deposit: 2900' level, Mine #4 ZCA, Balmat, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County, New York

Description:  This specimen with Lazurite will Fluoresces a nice Light Blue under Shortwave Ultra Violet Light and the DOLOSTONE will Fluoresces a Yellow color also under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light.  The SPHALERITE will Fluoresces a dull Orange color under a Longwave Ultra Violet Light.
