#  ..... Minerals Species:   HACKMANITE                                    

Location of Mineral Deposit:  DAVIS QUARRY, near BANCROFT, ONTARIO, CANADA

Description: These Hackmanites Fluoresces a nice Orange color under a Longwave Ultra Violet Light and a slight Pink color under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light.  These Hackmanites do have some fine examples of Tenebrescences that are the process by which a mineral changes its daylight color after being exposed to a Shortwave Light to another color.

Minerals Species: HACKMANITE  var. of Sodalite

Location of Mineral Deposit:  Karnasurt Mountain,  Lovozeromassif,  Kola Peninsula, Russia

Description:  These Hackmanites have fine examples of Tenebrescence which is the process by which a mineral changes daylight color after being exposed to Short Wave Light.  These fine sample are very Tenebrescent and also show good under Long Wave Fluorescence Light. These specimens features extremely Tenebrescent Sodalite var. Hackmanite which Fluoresces a Brilliant Orange under a Long Wave Ultra Violet Light and Pink under a Short Wave Ultra Violet Light. The Hackmanite will turn pinkish purple after being exposed to prolonged Short Wave light and then will return to White after being exposed to prolonged Daylight. This is a fine piece for the locality. Don't miss your chance to own a fine example of this material. Photo was taken in Daylight after exposure to SW light.

#  ......Minerals Species:     HACKMANITE var. Sodalite with FELDSPAR & CALCITE 

Location of Mineral Deposit:  KIRAN, KOKSHA VALLEY, SAR-E-SANG, BADAKSHAN PROVINCE,  AFGHANISTAN

Description:  This specimens matrix contains NON-Fluorescent Winchite with some nice Hackmanite that will Fluoresces a bright Orange color under a Longwave Ultra Violet light. This Hackmanite will also Fluoresce White under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light and becomes very Tenebrescent under the Shortwave Ultra Violet Light with some long lasting Phosphoresces.  Also in this matrix is Feldspare that will Fluoresce red under a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light along with Calcite that Fluoresces Orange also under the Shortwave Ultra Violet Light.  The Tenebrescent is a process by which a mineral changes from it's daylight color to another color after being wxposed to a Shortwave Ultra Violet Light.
